Car Lands in Pond Near Guyton, Claiming Woman’s Life
NEAR GUYTON, GA – A 37-year-old woman lost her life when she crashed her car into a pond in the area of Gracen Road and Old Louisville Road Friday.
WSBTV said this solo collision happened after 9 p.m. Despite efforts from Good Samaritans nearby, they were unable to save the woman from the submerged car (which landed upside down), leading to her death.
The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation and has not released additional information, which includes contributing factors, at this time.
