Hit-And-Run Driver Sought After Fatal DeKalb County Pedestrian Crash
DEKALB COUNTY, GA – Authorities continue to search for the driver involved in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash Tuesday, December 17, in Decatur that claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy, reports FOX 5 Atlanta.
The fatal incident occurred in the area of Flakes Mill Road and Harvest Drive, at about 7:15 p.m.
According to a preliminary investigation, the teen was walking to a nearby store when he was struck by a vehicle whose driver then continued away from the scene without stopping.
First responders rushed the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased the following day.
At this time, an investigation and a search for the fleeing driver remain ongoing.
