Male Pedestrian, 63, Fatally Hit by Vehicle in Marietta
MARIETTA, GA – A 63-year-old man crossing Powder Springs Street and Sandtown Road lost his life after he was struck by a vehicle Friday.
Marietta Police told WSBTV-2 that this crash happened along the QT gas station. Immediately after arriving, officers said they shut down the intersection for a few hours for their investigation and for the scene clearance process.
Authorities pronounced the walker, a Marietta local, dead at the scene.
Police said the driver remained at the scene but have not specified whether they will face citations or charges.
