Man, 55, Dies Following Sandersville Crash With Medical Episode

SANDERSVILLE, GA – A 55-year-old man was said to have suffered a medical episode when he was involved in a two-vehicle crash on West Church Street which claimed his life Sunday. 

Preliminary details from Georgia State Patrol indicate that the driver of a Honda Accord was attempting to overtake the 55-year-old man (a Sandersville local) driving a Toyota Tacoma amid a no-pass zone near Woodbine Drive, causing the vehicles to crash, WRDW reports. Just before the vehicles made contact, the 55-year-old man was waiting to turn left. 

While an investigation was launched, Washington County Regional Medical Center suspects that the Toyota Tacoma driver’s medical scare ultimately led him to succumb to fatal wounds at Washington County Regional Medical Center (where he was taken) rather than the crash itself. Still, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s findings will be key to solving that mystery.
