Obamacare 101: Sign up Now

The media has caused confusion for many regarding the Affordable Care Act (aka “Obamacare”) for 2018 regarding its existence and what the changes made by the Trump administration really mean. If you do not have health insurance, you should strongly consider signing up for Obamacare during open enrollment, not only to protect you if you become ill, but also if you get injured.
President Donald Trump recently signed an executive order that scaled back requirements for insurance companies to follow, and essentially cut off the funding of Obamacare enrollment outreach. The advertising and education to the public about the timeline and facts of Obamacare have been severely limited as a result. It is important to share information with friends and family so they do not miss out.
Obamacare Open Enrollment allows for private health insurance to be purchased for the upcoming year. The enrollment period lasts for only 45 days. It began on November 1st and ends on December 15th.  The open enrollment period prevents people from only buying health insurance after they get sick or injured. You can sign up for Obamacare through and find a plan that best fits your needs. Your coverage will begin on January 1, 2018. The Special Enrollment Period be applicable after December 15th only if you qualify via certain “life events” (such as getting married, having a baby or losing other health insurance coverage).
Having health insurance coverage can help you not only when you are sick, but can also assist if you get injured. If youve been injured and dont have health insurance, you will have to find treatment from a doctor or specialist who will get the 100% of their medical bills paid directly from the resolution of your case.  Personal injury can cause bodily damages that can result in the need for multiple doctors or expensive surgeries. Having health insurance through the marketplace to use to treat with can help an injured client keep more of their settlement for themselves.
