In late September, team members from Kaufman Law, P.C. participated in the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer—a 5K event to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. After being contacted by St. Jude, Kaufman Law supported the event by sponsoring a letter of the alphabet. Kaufman Law chose to sponsor the letter “K,” and after children decorated the letter, it was then displayed along the race course.
Jessica Rodgers, practice development coordinator at the firm, says that Kaufman Law felt very honored to work with an organization that was non-profit through and through. “When we met with St. Jude, we learned that all proceeds from the race go straight to the families of the children who are sick. The money takes care of meals and hotels, and it was great to know how well the families are supported.” Jessica adds, “It’s a really great cause.”
The attorneys and staff members at Kaufman Law are active participants in community events. Jessica says taking part in the walk/run was in line with Kaufman Law’s community goals. “We are a very family-oriented company,” Jessica says. “And we have staff members whose families have been affected by St. Jude, and many of us have children. So, being part of this event makes sense, and it aligns with our intention and commitment to be involved in the community.”
