  • Commitment Day 5K: Make a commitment to invest in yourself by participating in the Commitment Day 5K. The Atlanta area run will take place at Life Time Fitness in Sandy Springs on January 1st.
  • Resolution Run: Run a 4-mile course, a 1-mile course, or a 50m dash to start the New Year off right. This event will take place at the Brookhaven MARTA station on January 1st.
  • Atlanta Falcons v. New Orleans Saints: These teams will play at the Georgia Dome at 1 p.m. on January 3rd.
  • The Indigo Girls Benefit to Save the Libraries: The Indigo Girls will be performing at Terminal West to support Save the Libraries.
  • Monster Jam: Come see the monster trucks at the Georgia Dome on January 9th.
  • Seussical: Onstage Atlanta Young Performers will present “Seussical the Musical Kids” on Saturdays in January beginning on January 9th.
  • Romeo and Juliet: The State Ballet Theatre of Russia will present Romeo and Juliet at the Fox Theatre on January 10th.
  • The Book of Mormon: This musical will be performed at the Fox Theatre from January 12–24, 2016.
  • Three King’s Day Celebration: Storytelling, music, and other family activities will be included in this fun holiday festival.
  • Culinary Future’s Event: The Atlanta chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International will hold a cocktail hour and silent auction on January 14th to raise money for food, beverage and hospitality education.
  • Boat Show: The Atlanta Boat Show will take place from January 14–17 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Come see new boats, accessories and gear.
  • Martin Luther King Jr Celebrations at Morehouse College: Morehouse College will be hosting various MLK celebrations from January 15–31.
  • Magic & Mystery: Astonishment artist Mat LaVore will be performing at the Atlanta Omni Hotel on January 16th.
  • Atlanta Wine Party: There will be more than 50 wines to taste, food to purchase, and a DJ at the Atlanta Wine Party on Saturday January 16th at the Opera Nightclub.
  • MLK Day 5K Drum Run: There will be a drumline along the 3.1-mile race route at Piedmont Park on January 16th.
  • Atlanta Model Train Show: This will be the 50th annual Atlanta Model Train and Railroadiana show. It will take place at the North Atlanta Trade Center on January 16th.
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. March and Rally: Begin gathering for the march and rally at 1:15 p.m. on January 18th at the corners of Peachtree and Baker Streets.
  • Free Admission to National Parks: The National Park system turns 100 years old in 2016 and there will be 16 days of free admission to celebrate this year. The first of these days will be on January 16th.
  • Orlando Magic at Atlanta Hawks: These teams will play at Philips Arena at 5 p.m. on January 18th.
  • Atlanta Game Fest: This board game fest will take place from January 21–24 at the Holiday Inn Atlanta Perimeter.
  • Callanwolde Arts Festival: The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces presents an indoor art festival on January 22–24. Painters, photographers, sculptors, jewelers and more will have their work featured.
  • Cask Ale Festival: Sample about 50 rare cask ales from the United States and United Kingdom and more at the 12th Annual Cask Ale Festival on January 23rd.
  • Atlanta Jewish Film Festival: Explore Jewish life, history, culture and artists during this event which will be held from January 26th – February 17th.
  • Atlanta Camping and RV Show: This event will be held January 29–31 at the Atlanta Exposition Center South.
  • Atlanta Build, Remodel and Landscape Show: This will be the 17th year that this event is held. Come see everything you need to make your home just the way you want it at the Atlanta Exposition Center North from January 29–31.
  • The Great American Motorcycle Show: You can buy or just look at new bikes and accessories at Georgia’s biggest indoor bike show from January 29–31.
  • Johnny Mathis 60th Anniversary Tour: Johnny Mathis will be performing at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on January 29th.
  • Battle of the Bands: College marching bands will compete in Honda’s Battle of the Bands at the Georgia Dome on January 30th.
  • Star Trek the Ultimate Voyage: Star Trek the Ultimate Voyage will be performed at Fox Theatre on January 30th at 8 p.m.
