1 dead, 1 left seriously hurt following pedestrian crash in SW Atlanta
ATLANTA, GA – Two men were struck by a vehicle while crossing a street Saturday night in southwest Atlanta, an incident that ultimately claimed the life of one victim and left the other critically injured, reports WSB-TV Atlanta 2.
Authorities said the two pedestrians were in the area of Pryor Road and University Avenue at about 10:00 a.m. when the crash occurred.
While an investigation into the cause of the collision remains underway, both victims, men aged 38 and 54, suffered critical injuries. They were rushed to a local hospital where the 38-year-old man was pronounced deceased.
It was not immediately apparent whether the driver remained at the scene following the crash.
