ATLANTA, GA – A 36-year-old man died Saturday night, June 22, in southwest Atlanta after colliding with a vehicle while operating a motorcycle, according to Atlanta News First.

The fatal incident unfolded on a stretch of Greenbriar Parkway at Continental Colony Parkway Southwest, in the city’s Greenbriar neighborhood. Atlanta Police responded to the scene shortly after 11:00 p.m.

An early investigation indicates that the victim, who had a passenger with him, was traveling southbound on Greenbriar Parkway at a high rate of speed. While splitting lanes and trying to proceed through the intersection, his motorcycle collided with a Honda CR-V who driver was attempting to turn onto the parkway.

The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed officials. His passenger was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.

While the condition of the Honda driver was not immediately disclosed, the patient was also transported to a hospital.
