1 Dies, Another Hurt After ATV Accident in Chatham Co.
CHATHAM COUNTY, GA โ One person died, and another person was injured after an ATV accident in Chatham County Friday.
The ATV accident happened around 9:30 a.m. in the Osteen Road and Howard Drive area, according to WTOC. Preliminary details suggest the driver lost control of the vehicle and then crashed into a tree. EMS crews were summoned to the scene of the ATV collision. After arriving, ambulance personnel transported the ATV operator and passenger to a hospital.
The passenger later died from his injuries at the medical facility. He was identified as a 16-year-old teenager.
Georgia State Patrol is working to determine why the ATV operator lost control of his vehicle. Updates will be added after our team learns more.
