1 Hurt, Another Killed in Van vs. SUV Crash in Macon
MACON, GA – A 38-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Van collided head-on with a Ford Expedition SUV, which resulted in his death and injured the Ford driver Sunday.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office told 13WMAZ that around 2 a.m., the 38-year-old man was traveling behind another vehicle on Pio Nono Avenue in a one-lane zone. The man made the decision to try to pass that automobile and, in his attempt, slammed head-on into the Ford Expedition.Â
Upon arrival, EMS crews sent the 38-year-old man to Atrium Health Navicent.
and the Ford Expedition driver to another hospital. The Ford Expedition motorist is in stable condition, while the 38-year-old man was experiencing some blunt force trauma and officially passed away around 3:15 a.m. at Atrium.
The victim’s family was notified of his passing.
