2 hurt, woman’s life claimed in Dekalb Co. collision
DEKALB COUNTY, GA – Two drivers were injured, and a 33-year-old woman passed away after a red Ford F-250 and a Scion collided on I-285 Sunday.
Authorities told WSBTV that the collision happened as the driver of the white Scion changed lanes on the GA 400 exit, and the driver of the red Ford F-250 was entering the I-285 ramp from Ashford Dunwoody Road.
The impact of the crash trapped the Scion driver and passenger inside their car, and DeKalb County firefighters had to extricate them as a result.
The Scion passenger, the 33-year-old woman, had died, while the car driver was sent to a hospital in stable condition.
The truck driver sustained non-life-threatening wounds but was not hospitalized.
