2 Men Killed in Walton, Newtown County Crashes
WALTON AND NEWTON COUNTY, GA โ A 28-year-old man and a 46-year-old man from Covington lost their lives in two separate crashes that Georgia State Patrol responded to Tuesday morning.
Georgia State Patrol Post 46 told News Monroe Local that the first collision happened before 6:45 a.m. in Social Circle. The driver of a white Dodge Ram truck had drifted from the northbound lanes of Social Circle Parkway and into the southbound lanes. Seconds later, the pickup truck collided head-on with a big rig. The pickup operator died at the scene, while the big motorist was unharmed.
The other deadly wreck happened somewhere in Newton. Troopers did not provide the exact crash location or comment on the events leading to this crash.
