3 Hospitalized, Man Cited After I-985 Rear-end Crash In Gainesville
GAINESVILLE, GA โ A rear-end collision on I-985 North ended in three people getting sent to a hospital and a 66-year-old local man getting cited Wednesday.
Access WDUN said the three-vehicle wreck happened before 4 p.m. Preliminary details show that the 66-year-old man was driving a red Ford F-150 pickup truck when he struck one vehicle. The driver of the hit automobile was then pushed into another vehicle in front.
EMS crews rushed the 66-year-old man and the two people from the second vehicle to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The driver of the third vehicle was not hospitalized. All involved occupants are recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Georgia State Patrol and local DoT crews closed the interstateโs northbound lanes temporarily to accommodate the scene clearance process.
