3 injured as female driver rear-ends police car in Marietta
MARIETTA, GA – A 60-year-old woman rear-ended a Marrierta police cruiser, causing her to get ejected from her car, injuring herself and the two officers inside the car Friday.
This crash happened around 10:15 p.m. at the Roswell Road and Cobb Parkway intersection, according to Fox 5 Atlanta. The impact also caused the officers to be either pinned or entrapped inside their vehicle, prompting fire crews to extricate them.
After the extrication was complete, first responders took the woman and the two officers to Kennestone Hospital for serious wounds.
At this time, the woman remains hospitalized while the officers are released. It is unclear if she will face any criminal charges or citations for her involvement in this crash.
