3 Vehicles Fatally Strike Mini Bike Rider in Avondale
AVONDALE, GA – A 56-year-old man operating a mini bike lost his life after he was struck by three vehicles along Middle Georgia Regional Airport Tuesday.
The deadly collision took place before 3 a.m. at the intersection of Avon Circle and Hawkinsville Road, according to 13WMAZ. An SUV and the minibike rider were simultaneously going north when they collided with each other.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the SUV driver remained at the accident scene.
Deputies said two other vehicles struck the bicyclist but did not stop for the victim. Officials have not classified these motorists as hit-and-run suspects.
Authorities shut down the intersection for the scene clearance process. All lanes have been reopened since.
