6-Auto Crash on Leads to Rollovers, I-20 Lane Closures in Augusta
AUGUSTA, GA โ A six-automobile collision on I-20 West led to two cars overturning, prompting crews to shut down the area for several hours last Tuesday, Dec. 3.
WRDW said this crash was announced around 5 a.m. and occurred past Deans Bridge Road. Photos from Snides Towing company, who were summoned to the scene, showed a black carโs bumper completely torn off as well as the back. Upon arrival, the Georgia Department of Transportation issued lane closures past Deans Bridge starting at 6:30 a.m. and were lifted about an hour later at 7:30 a.m. Despite the reopenings, the affected vehicles and debris from the crash werenโt completely cleaned until past 10 a.m.ย
Emergency medical services were also called to the scene, but they did not specify if anyone was injured or had to go to the hospital. They also did not state the contributing factors behind this wreck.
