Authorities respond to rollover wreck on southbound I-285 in west Atlanta

DEKALB COUNTY, GA – A vehicle overturned during a crash early Thursday on Interstate 285 in west Atlanta, according to Triple Team Traffic.

The rollover collision unfolded on the ramp connecting the southbound lanes of I-285’s inner loop to eastbound I-20, in the city’s Collier Heights area. It was first reported shortly before 4:41 a.m.

Officials did not say what caused the accident or indicate whether another vehicle was involved, but the left side of the ramp was blocked as a result.

While no significant delays were reported in the area, the partial closure remained in place for over 20 minutes. By 5:05 a.m., crews had removed the scene and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
