Male motorcyclist, 51, loses life in collision near Athens
NEAR ATHENS, GA – A 51-year-old man operating a motorcycle struck a pickup truck, reserving from a driveway, leading to the motorcyclist’s death on Saturday.
This deadly wreck happened after 1 a.m. at the Georgia 8 and Ed Collie Road intersection, according to Now Habersham.
Georgia State Patrol said the motorcyclist, 51-year-old Steven Hickman from Colbert, succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene. They did not indicate whether the Honda motorcycle and Ford pickup truck sustained any damage. It’s also unclear whether the pickup truck driver was injured.
