1 killed in multi-vehicle wreck on I-85 near Suwanee
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – At least one person has been confirmed dead following a multi-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon near southeast Suwanee, according to WSB-TV Atlanta 2.
The fatal incident took place on the southbound Interstate 85 just before Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road. It was first reported by WSB-TV Atlanta 2 at 2:55 p.m.
At this time, Gwinnett County officials have not specified the cause or nature of the collision, but the scene forced multiple travel lanes to close, leaving only one left lane open at the I-985 merge.
