Collision closes lane on eastbound I-285 near Cumberland Mall
ATLANTA, GA – Authorities responded to a crash Tuesday morning that caused delays on Interstate 285 near Cumberland Mall in northwest Atlanta, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT).
The incident took place on the eastbound interstate before Exit 19 to Cobb Parkway. It was first reported by Georgia DOT at 8:41 a.m.
Local agencies have not specified the number of vehicles involved or the events leading up to the accident, but the far left lane was blocked as a result.
GDOT cameras at the scene captured a significant traffic backup in the area at the time.

By 9:33 a.m., more than 50 minutes after the initial report, crews had cleared the scene and all travel lanes were reopened to traffic.
No injuries were immediately confirmed.
