2 lanes shut down on I-285 due to collision

DECATUR, GA – Two left lanes are currently blocked on I-285 East before the Flat Shoals Road and Candler Road due to a Friday morning crash. 

The Georgia Department of Transportation first announced this collision and closure at 6:19 a.m. and said crews are expected to clear the scene by 8 a.m. 

First responders who were summoned to the scene have not specified the events leading up to this collision or said if anyone was injured or needed to go to the hospital. 

In addition, officials did not say if anyone would be cited or charged for their involvement in this crash.
