Semi-truck crashes into support beam, catches on fire in Marietta
MARIETTA, GA – A semi-truck hauling barrels of fluid burst into flames after colliding with a support beam under the Windy Hill bridge along I-75 South Friday.
This single-truck collision happened near Delk Road and caused the cargo barrels to leak, burn, and explode, according to WSBTV.
Authorities closed the southbound lanes (and later reopened) so the Cobb County Fire Department could extinguish the flames, and the Hazmat team mitigated the spill.
No one appeared to be harmed in this crash.
