7 Hospitalized After Crash Caused by Red Light Runner in Mableton
MABLETON, GA – A 28-year-old man driving a white 2020 Nissan Altima ran a red light and hit a white 2012 Ford Explorer, turning left, sending the drivers’ and five passengers to a hospital.
This collision happened before 3 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans Memorial Highway Southeast and Dodgen Road Southwest intersection, FOX5Atlanta reveals.Â
Cobb County Police said the Ford Explorer driver, a 23-year-old man, was going north and trying to turn left on a green light when he was struck by the Nissan driver.
The Nissan passengers carried three other passengers, a 25-year-old woman and two 1-year-old toddlers, and the two other Ford passengers, a 5-month-old infant and a 4-year-old toddler.
Officers did not disclose the physical conditions of all occupants nor said if the 28-year-old man would be cited or charged for failing to yield.
