4 Hospitalized, 1 Life Claimed in Forsyth SUV, Sedan Crash
FORSYTH, GA – An SUV driver crashed into a Chevrolet on Thursday, leading the SUV motorist to succumb to fatal wounds and sending four occupants to a hospital.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office told The Telegraph the events unfolded around 7:30 a.m. on Highway 42 near Boxankle Road when the SUV driver drifted off the road, overcorrected, and went into the southbound lanes.Â
Once the vehicles collided, the SUV driver passed away, and medical helicopter personnel airlifted the Chevy driver and one passenger to a hospital in Macon. There, they are recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.
First responders also took two occupants from the SUV to a Macon hospital, where they are listed in serious condition.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation and has not released other information at this time.
