Car Crashes Into Tree in Americus, Claiming 63-Year-Old Man’s Life  

AMERICUS, GA – A 63-year-old man missed a curve while driving on U.S. 19, causing him to drift off the road and crash into a tree, which resulted in his death Saturday. 

WALB said that the solo collision had happened before 4:45 p.m. Georgia State Patrol said the driver did not press the brakes prior to the crash. 

GSP is continuing to investigate the circumstances behind the wreck and has not confirmed additional information.
