Woman Dead, 3 People Hospitalized After Bowersville Crash
BOWERSVILLE, GA – A 22-year-old woman lost her life, and a 29-year-old man and two toddlers were taken to a hospital after a solo crash Wednesday.
Preliminary details show that the 29-year-old man, the driver, had drifted off Lankford Road and crashed his 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup truck into a tree. Access WDUN 75 said the Georgia State Patrol arrived at the scene before 4 p.m.
Troopers said the woman died at the scene, while EMS crews rushed the surviving occupants to Prisma Healthcare in Greenville, South Carolina.
The man was left in serious condition, while the 1-year-old and 2-year-old toddler were evaluated for injuries. The children’s current physical conditions are unknown.
GSP confirmed all occupants are Lavonia residents.
Authorities launched an investigation and have not announced any criminal charges at this time.
