3 Hospitalized After 2-Car, Pickup Truck Collision in Demorest

DEMOREST, GA – Three people were hospitalized after a collision between two passenger cars and a pickup truck on GA 105 Wednesday. 

The multi-vehicle crash took place just before 7:15 p.m. along Cap Fry Road, according to Now Habersham. The impact left significant front-end damage to the pickup truck and rear-end damage to one of the sedans. 

After arriving on the scene, Habersham County Emergency Services transported two people to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville. The third occupant was taken to another Gainesville hospital by private conveyance. 

Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and local firefighters also responded to the collision. They shut down the intersection for two hours to accommodate the scene clearance process and reopened the area just before 9 p.m. 

Habersham County deputies have not disclosed the exact cause of the multi-vehicle collision.
