Fire Crews Put Out Car Fire on I-16 in Dublin

DUBLIN, GA – Fire crews and good samaritans extinguished the flames from a car on I-16 Thursday, WALB reports. 

The driver of the car had rear-ended a tractor-trailer, which is what initially caused the fire. The truck driver was uninjured and was able to get out of his vehicle and ran toward the car driver and helped him escape. 

The truck driver and two other drivers on the road, also truck drivers, used fire extinguishers to try and stop the flames from spreading. Once fire crews arrived, they were able to finish the job and successfully put out the fire. 

No injuries were reported for either driver after the fiery crash.
