Accident causes backup on northbound I-85 in Norcross

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – Motorists were warned of delays on Interstate 85 in Norcross early Friday afternoon following a collision, according to Triple Team Traffic.

The accident happened on the northbound lanes of I-85 at Exit 99 to Jimmy Carter Boulevard. It was first reported shortly after 12:00 p.m.

While little information has been shared at this time, the right lane was closed as a result of the wreck.

Local agencies have not yet indicated the cause of the incident or the number of vehicles involved.
