Accident Closes Lane on Southbound I-75 Near Kennesaw State University
COBB COUNTY, GA – Authorities were called to the scene of a crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 75 in northeast Kennesaw, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
The collision took place on the southbound highway before Exit 271 to Chastain Road, near Kennesaw State University. It was first reported at 1:30 p.m.
No information regarding the circumstances of the incident has been disclosed, but the left southbound lane was blocked in the immediate aftermath.
The closure was expected to lift within 30 minutes, at about 2:00 p.m.
It was not immediately apparent whether anyone was hurt and/or had to be hospitalized.
