Accident closes part of southbound SR-41 in Coweta County

COWETA COUNTY, GA – Authorities were dispatched to a collision Thursday morning on State Route 41 in southeast Moreland, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The crash happened on the southbound lanes at Donald Lamb Road, near mile marker 1.87. It was first reported by GDOT at 7:08 a.m.

Little information has been made available, but by the time of the initial report, a section of the southbound highway had been shut down, and the scene was not expected to clear for nearly another hour.

Crews were ultimately able to have all lanes reopened by 7:48 a.m., 40 minutes later, but it remains unclear whether anyone was seriously hurt or had to be taken to a hospital.
