Alleged DUI Driver Causes Fatal UTV Rollover Wreck in Statesboro
STATESBORO, GA โ A 27-year-old man, suspected of impairment, had crashed his UTV, causing it to overturn and claim the life of his passenger Saturday.
WJCL said the collision took place on Brannen Road near Mill Creek Park. The impact led the manโs passenger, a 14-year-old boy, to succumb to his injuries at the scene. Georgia State Patrol later confirmed the victim was the UTV operatorโs brother.
According to additional information from Grice Connect, Bulloch County Paramedics, the Coroner, Air Evac Medical, Bulloch EMS, and Georgia State Patrol all responded to the scene.
EMS crews took the 27-year-old man to Statesboro-Bulloch County Airport. From there, medical helicopter personnel transported the surviving occupant to a hospital in Savannah.
Authorities have not disclosed the manโs current physical condition or confirmed any DUI-related charges.
