Authorities Called to Crash on Northbound I-285 Near NE Atlanta
ATLANTA, GA – Commuters faced delays on Interstate 285 near northeast Atlanta Tuesday morning due to a collision, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
The incident occurred on the northbound highway at Exit 34 to Chamblee Tucker Road. It was first reported shortly after 9:00 a.m.
While little information has been shared at this time, the scene had the two left lanes closed at the exit. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek out alternate routes.
DEKALB CO – Two left lanes are blocked on I-285 N at Chamblee Tucker Rd. (mm 33.8) due to a crash. Avoid travel in this direction and use alt. routes.

Just before 9:30 a.m., officials indicated that the accident had been cleared, about 30 minutes ahead of the anticipated opening time at 10:00 a.m.
No injuries have been confirmed as of this writing.
