Authorities respond to collision on southbound I-85 near Norcross

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA – Part of southbound Interstate 85 was blocked Friday afternoon near Norcross following a crash, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

The accident happened before Exit 99 to Jimmy Carter Boulevard and was first reported by GDOT at 2:43 p.m.

Little information has been made available, but the left middle lane was closed as a result of the wreck. Motorists were warned of delays in the area, as officials anticipated a 3:00 p.m. clearance time.
