Authorities Respond to Collision on Westbound I-20 in Villa Rica
CARROLL COUNTY, GA – Delays were reported late Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 20 in Villa Rica due to a collision, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).
The accident took place on the westbound side of the highway at State Route 61/Industrial Boulevard. It was first reported at about 4:53 p.m.
Very few details have been made available at this time, but the scene was expected to keep the right lane blocked for over 30 minutes.
Local officials did not immediately say whether anyone was seriously hurt.
