Car Hits Pickup Truck in Gainesville, Claiming Woman’s Life
GAINESVILLE, GA – A driver of a 2006 Chrysler 300 car crashed into a 2024 Chevrolet pickup truck, which later claimed a 65-year-old woman’s life Saturday.
The collision took place around 9 p.m. at the intersection of GA 365 and White Sulphur Road, AccessWDUN reports. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said that prior to the crash, the pickup truck was exhibiting mechanical issues. The truck driver, a 55-year-old man from Carnesville could no longer continue driving so he stopped. A short time later, that’s whenthe car driver struck the truck.
The 65-year-old woman, a car passenger, was seriously injured. Hall County Fire Rescue rushed her to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, where she died.
Deputies did not say if the pickup truck driver and car operator, a 64-year-old man from Cumming, were injured, nor did they share additional information.
