Car Strikes Tree Outside Cumming, Killing Driver, Injuring Passenger
CUMMING, GA – A driver, a 23-year-old man, lost his life, and his passenger was injured after their car slammed into a tree Sunday, Fox5Atlanta reports.
The collision happened before 1 a.m. off Heardsville Road and Frix Road. Preliminary details show that the 23-year-old man failed to negotiate a curve while driving his 2022 Tesla Model 3, which is what caused him to lose control and ultimately crash his car.
First responders declared the driver, a Cumming local, dead at the scene and transported his passenger to North Fulton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is working to determine why the motorist lost control of his vehicle.
