Car vs. Semi Crash in West Green Claims One Life, Injures Another
WEST GREEN, GA โ A Nissan Rogue driver lost his life, and a semi-truck motorist sustained minor injuries in a head-on collision on Highway 221 Wednesday.
Georgia State Patrol told WALB that before 9 a.m., the Nissan driver had veered from the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes and hit the Mack big rig head-on. After the vehicles collided, the Nissan driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He has since been identified as an 18-year-old man, a Coffee County resident.
Troopers and crews shut down the area for several hours to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation period.
