Crash in Clarksville Ends in Arrest, Sends 1 to Hospital
CLARKSVILLE, GA โ When a car and an RV crashed on GA 17, it ended in one person getting hospitalized for minor wounds and another individualโs arrest Monday.
The Habersham County Sheriffโs Office told NowHabersham this collision happened before 1:30 p.m. near Preacher Campbell Road and Blue Creek Road. As indicated in the photos, the impact of this wreck caused the car to land in a ditch and sustain significant damage, while the RVโs front bumper was nearly totaled and their windshield completely destroyed.ย
The injured person is recovering at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
On a related note, a two-vehicle wreck also took place on GA 17 near Preacher Campbell and Blue Creek, with one vehicle also coming to rest in a ditch. However, this wreck happened Tuesday morning around 7:15 a.m. and claimed one life.ย
Georgia State Patrol also responded to the scene and is investigating the separate crashes. At this time, they have not provided a formal statement regarding the exact cause of this collision nor listed the occupantsโ ages, genders, and places of residence. GSP arrested the person after Mondayโs collision but declined to specify their charges.
