Crews Shut Down I-20 East in Decatur Due to Big Rig Wreck
DECATUR, GA – Tow truck crews shut down a majority of I-20 East on Tuesday morning due to a big rig collision.
11 Alive indicated that closures were announced after 11:30 a.m. and said one lane reopened around noon to accommodate the flow of traffic.Â
The exact cause of the crash is unclear. However, it appeared the tractor-trailer had crashed into a ditch. The white cab’s front bumper was torn off, but the cab itself stayed attached to the trailer, although it was slightly leaning.
Authorities did not say if the motorist was injured.
