Driver Dies, Another Critically Hurt After 4-Auto Wreck in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA – One driver passed away, and another motorist was left in critical condition following a four-vehicle collision on I-85 Monday. 

Atlanta News First said the events began around 3:30 a.m. near Chamblee Tucker Road when one driver got into a solo collision. The motorist got out of their vehicle to inspect for damages. Another driver saw what occurred and pulled over to help. A short time later, a third and fourth vehicle hit the two cars and drivers. 

No injuries were reported for the third and fourth drivers. DeKalb County confirmed that the first motorist perished at the scene, while the second driver was hospitalized for critical, life-threatening wounds. 

DeKalb County officers started an investigation and have not released additional information.
