Driver fails to maintain lane, causing deadly crash in Lowndes Co.
LOWNDES COUNTY, GA – A driver of a Ford Fusion failed to maintain their lane, leading them to hit a Nissan Pathfinder, claiming the lives of both drivers and injuring two people Saturday.
This two-vehicle wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. at the Lakeland Highway and Tower Road intersection, according to WALB.
Georgia State Patrol said the Fusion driver perished at the scene, while the Nissan motorist was sent to a hospital, where they later passed away.
The passengers who were injured were identified as juveniles.
