Driver Fatally Hits Male Cyclist in Columbus
COLUMBUS, GA – A man in his 40s riding a bicycle was rushed to Piedmont Columbus Regional, where he died after he was struck by a vehicle Monday.
This collision occurred before 6 p.m. on Manchester Expressway West near Miller Road, according to Ledger-Enquirer. The driver did remain at the scene and is not going to face any criminal charges.Â
Muscogee County Coroner’s is trying to pinpoint the male cyclist’s identity, only describing him as a man with several tattoos.
County authorities did launch an investigation and have not released additional information, which includes the events that led to this deadly wreck.
