Driver Hits Patrol Car, Causes Fiery Collision in Columbus
COLUMBUS, GA – A driver of an unspecified vehicle crashed into a patrol car on I-185, leading the cruiser to catch on fire and other collisions that injured at least one person.
This collision happened around 4 p.m. Monday near Saint Mary’s, WTVM reports. The individual who was injured was hurt in one of the other many crashes that followed on I-185, not in the wreck involving the police car.Â
Due to the various crashes, crews were left with no choice but to shut down the lanes, which has reopened since.
