Driver killed as car rear-ends tractor-trailer on I-20 in Carroll County
CARROLL COUNTY, GA – A 39-year-old driver died Wednesday afternoon when their vehicle struck the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 20 near Temple, according to Atlanta News First.
The fatal accident unfolded on the westbound highway near State Route 113, or Temple-Carrollton Road (Exit 19). It was first reported by Atlanta News at 4:36 p.m., when all lanes had re-opened following a closure.
Georgia State Patrol troopers responded to the scene of the rear-end collision, where the driver of the car was pronounced deceased.
No information about the driver of the tractor-trailer has been shared, and the circumstances of the event remain unclear.
