Driver Misses Curve, Leading to Injury Truck Rollover Crash in Macon
MACON, GA – A driver of a big rig missed a curve on I-16 West, causing them to lose control of their truck, leading it to overturn and injuring at least one person Sunday.
Georgia State Patrol told 13WMAZ that the collision also took place as the driver was attempting to turn near the I-75 South connector. Authorities did not specify whether it was the motorist or a passenger who was injured, nor did they say if they were hospitalized. Nonetheless, crews closed all westbound lanes to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation.
During the closures, commuters were redirected to exit off I-75 South and urged to take different routes.
