Driver Runs Red Light, Causes Fatal Rollover Crash in Brunswick
BRUNSWICK, GA โ A driver of a Mercedes S450 ran a red light and hit a Honda Pilot, causing their car to overturn and claiming the life of their passenger Tuesday.
Georgia State Patrol (GSP) told WSAV that the Mercedes driver was using the I-95 South off-ramp and turning onto State Route 25 when they hit the northbound Honda. The impact immediately pushed the Mercedes into a parking lot and flipped over.ย
Troopers declared the Mercedes passenger dead at the scene, and EMS crews rushed both drivers to a hospital. They are there recovering from serious wounds.
Authorities closed the off-ramp for more than an hour to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation.
GSP has not confirmed if the Mercedes motorist will face criminal charges.
