Drivers hospitalized after crash on Barrett Pkwy in Marietta

COBB COUNTY, GA – Two people were seriously injured late Thursday afternoon when their vehicles collided on Ernest W Barrett Parkway Northwest in Marietta, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.

The accident unfolded at the intersection with Village Greene Northwest at about 4:50 p.m.

Marietta Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program officials said a 68-year-old Marietta woman was driving a 2017 Mazda CX-5 northbound on the parkway. As she made a left turn onto Village Greene, the BMW struck a 2019 Dodge Ram, which was traveling southbound in the right lane.

Both the woman and the driver of the Dodge Ram, a 28-year-old Marietta resident, suffered serious injuries. They were transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for critical and moderate injuries, respectively.
