Failure To Yield Causes Fatal Crash Involving Trash Truck in Putney
PUTNEY, GA โ A car driver failed to yield to on-coming traffic, causing her to collide with a trash truck and suffer fatal injuries Wednesday, according to WALB.
The Dougherty County Police Department said the fatal crash unfolded after 9 a.m. when the car driver had tried to cross Liberty Expressway from Nelms Road and crashed into the trash truck.
The car driver, who was identified as a 20-year-old woman, died at the scene.
No criminal charges have been officially filed against the truck driver at this time.
